Plus Quilt QAL from Quiltmanufaktur

Ein neuer, fertiger Quilt! Yeah......

Penny Sampler - Stitched in Color from Quiltmanufaktur

Fat quarter quilt patterns I love for Spring from Pieced Brain

Fat quarter quilt patterns I love for Spring

Gather some precuts to make these two fat quarter quilt patterns I love: a modern quilt and one with machine applique flowers to welcome Spring.

“Spring Dance” was just published in the Late Spring 2021 issue of Quilter’s World magazine, and also in the Fat-Quarter Friendly Quilts publication. These colors are so beautiful! They are from the Balboa collection by Sherri & Chelsi for Moda Fabrics.

It measures 54″ x 70″ and the blocks finish at 12″ and 4″. It comes together super fast so it is a fun weekend project. If you are a beginner quilter, this pattern is ...

Now I know last week I said that it was a crazy week, well I lied to you all because THIS week is actually crazy! Holidays are near and we couldn’t be more excited to start on new projects for 2021. This week is going to be the last full week here before the year ends, so we are working together to bring you as much inspiration as we can. Lattice style quilt featuring Folktale from Carried Away Quilting

Even with the restrictions caused by the pandemic, our small family managed to have a lovely and festive Christmas celebration. Although we truly missed gathering together with extended family, we seemed to treasure our simple holiday even more because of it. Now that the gifts have been given, I have another quilt to share with you which I made for our son’s girlfriend, Emilee.

We weren’t able to celebrate with Emilee in person. As a young nurse at a large hospital, she was scheduled to work both Christmas Eve day and Christmas Day. But our son celebrated with ...

Building Blocks: All About Precut Fabric from The Cutting Table Quilt Blog - A Blog for Quilters by Quilters

Precut fabric saves time and effort when creating quilting projects.

Precut fabric revolutionized the quilting world. The quilting skill was historically passed down through teaching – one would learn the intricate and mathematical approach of measuring and cutting fabric by hand from the generation that came before. Anyone who has pieced a quilt knows it’s difficult work! Before you could even consider your project or layout, all the fabrics must be cut from bolts or repurposed from used materials. The margin for error was extraordinary, a single miscalculation could jeopardize an entire quilting project.

Quilting is now easier and more ...

A flannel quilt for the graduate! from Carried Away Quilting

I love making graduation quilts. There is so much promise, hope and excitement in watching a young person graduate and take their next steps in life. I think it energizes those of us who have to brush off the cobwebs to remember our own graduations. It reminds us of the possibilities of new beginnings, and how thrilled and scared we were in those moments. Making a quilt for a graduate is our way of sending love and encouragement with the young person embarking on that new journey.

We have two special graduates to celebrate this year . . . our daughter’s boyfriend ...

Celebrating the Art of Embroidery: Meriwether Fabrics from Art Gallery Fabrics-The Creative Blog

Meriwether_banner

Today is a lovely day here in south Florida because currently, the temperature is in the 60s! That's pretty cold down here considering we are pretty used to 90-degree weather almost all year round- it's nice to have a break from the rain too. When there is not a single cloud in the sky, the sun is out, and there is a cool breeze, it's the perfect recipe for making me happy! Which brings me to today's latest AGF collection release, Meriwether

Meaning "happy weather" in Middle English, this collection is available in 16 prints ...

9-Patch Pivot is a fat quarter friendly quilt that finishes at 66” x 77”.  My favorite thing about this pattern is how all the prints in the fabric line have a chance to shine. And the Harvest Road collection by Lella Boutique for Moda is totally shine-worthy!

Star Watch is a jelly roll friendly ...
